The Monday after we got back from Cuxhaven, Tina and I took it a little easy. We had some breakfast, went for a little walk around Carina's neighbourhood, and then went out to Freie Universität Berlin to meet Carina for lunch. I went all the way to Germany to eat in an university cafeteria. Well, it was a little different. One thing I did notice different from Canada was that central air conditioning is not a big concern in both Turkey and Germany. That meant there were a lot of stuffy rooms that didn't benefit even from some air movement, let alone cooling. After lunch, Carina had a seminar. We went to the first little bit because there was a little celebration of Carina receiving her Phd this spring. I was even thanked as part of the team for feeding her a little. Probably, I was more of a distraction that made it take longer than it need too, but it eventually got done.

After the celebration of baked goods and sparkling wine, ( I opened both bottles, and shot only one cork off at the roof, oops.) Tina and I took the U-bahn a couple of stations away, and went for a little walk. We also scored a free sample of contact lens solution for Tina, after the lady there asked Tina if she spoke English, because the bottle of solution she had was from Turkey, and thus in Turkish. In the end, Tina ended up with a free sample bottle. We then took a walk around and saw a little of a near by park.
Apparently, I should have finished writing this sooner, because I forgot what we did that night. However, it was obviously not that memorable, so who cares.
