So, like Easter?

Okay, so I went back to Nelson for Easter. A month ago. I took some pictures. Here they are.

First of all, a couple of shots of the Queen city looking rather nice.

I managed to sneak out to sandspit on a random drive. They were having a kite expo or something. Apparently, it was popular, as this shot of the parking lot can attest.

Here's what the hubbub was about. I think the popularity had more to do with the really nice day, than the kites, but I could be wrong.

As evidence to my point, a view from Sandspit beach.

And there was the necessary Easter dinner. My plate is the one in the foreground. Mmmm.. ham.

Dinner makes everyone a captive for photos.

A word of advice, when choosing your place at the table, you may wish to avoid the new mother as a neighbour, as you may get pressed into baby duty. Here's Jim taking on the chore like a pro.

Here's a decent picture of Jim and Sarah.

There were four generations at dinner, child, mother, grandfather, and great grandmother. I always thought grandma was great before George and Casey. I guess it is just official now.

Here's the star of the evening, little Casey.

I also managed a trip out to Salmo. There I got to see Coreen's grave. Here's the whole lovely setup.

Here is a close up of the headstone, complete with the very touching shenango lady.

Here's someone's yard that Mom made me take a picture of for my cousin, Emily.

That was pretty much my trip to Nelson. It was nice to be back. Everything seems a little different ever time I go back. Yet it still feels the same.
